- Cover Letter The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Detention Center in Houston, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQP05170900003, for the provision of various bread products for the Federal Detention Center located at 1200 Texas Avenue in Houston, Texas. The contract period shall commence on October 1, 2009 and expire on September 30, 2010. Estimated yearly contract requirements include: (1) 22,724 loaves of white bread; (2)2870 loaves of wheat bread; (3) 15,983 packages of hamburger buns; (4) 5434 packages of hot dog buns; (5) 2622 packages of hoagie buns; (6) 2688 packages of baked dinner rolls. The solicitation will be made available on or about September 18, 2009, and will be posted to the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website, http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. This site provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the referenced website. This solicitation is unrestricted and all responsible business sources are encouraged to submit a quote which will be considered. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is September 28, 2009, The anticipated date of award is September 29, 2009 with an effective award date is October 1, 2009.
