- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), 6900 Main Street, PO Box 9729, Stratford, CT 06615-9129 for the acquisition of on-site Integrated Logistics Support services for the Spanish Navy SH-60B helicopters. These requirements include providing maintenance support to the Spanish Navy performing SH-60B helicopter maintenance and flight operations in Rota, Spain, conducting on-site classroom and flight line training to Spanish Navy military personnel for organizational levels of maintenance, providing recommendations to the Spanish Navy relating to the incorporation of upgrades and modifications to the aircraft, and providing guidance and instruction in the use of existing and new special tools, support equipment and test equipment. This firm fixed price contract will be awarded as an order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-08-G-0010. The period of performance is six (6) months. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements;” because they are the only qualified source which possesses the detailed knowledge of the SH-60B design to allow them to perform these efforts in a timely and cost effective manner.
