- RECOVERY – This action is funded by the Recovery Act. This notice is provided for informational purposes only. The Social Security Administration intends to acquire 16 Dell Latitude E6500 laptop computers, batteries, and carrying cases being funded by Recovery Act – Economic Payments SEI A990. The laptops, batteries, and carrying cases requested in this requisition will be purchased via a fixed price call order to SSA Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) SS00-09-40028, which was awarded competitively on June 19, 2009. These laptops are required in order for the 16 Travel 1 Digital Recording Units ordered for ODAR sites (SS00-09-40038, Call 001) to function. Without them, remote hearing offices will be unable to digitally record hearings in support of the Agency's goal to reduce the backlog in the hearing offices. This notice is for information only: contractors should not respond.
