- Description
- The project consists of design, renovations and repairs to historical building 1500 of the Naval Air Station, Pensacola. This building is an historical 69,586 SF building. The renovations will include demolition of interior walls, fixtures, equipment, replacement of existing Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and ductwork, electrical lighting and power systems and fire protection. Demolition will include removal of the asbestos, lead paint, and mold remediation. Construction will include new interior walls, doors, cable, telephone, network, electrical wiring, plumbing and roofing. Additionally, replacing the existing windows with ATFP compliant double-paned insulating glass units will be required which will require heavy coordination with the Historical Society. The construction will also include the installation of an elevator and handicap ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements which will also be required to meet historical requirements.
