- THIS IS ONLY THE ADVANCED NOTICE. NO RESPONSE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT PREVIOUSLY WAS ENTITLED, "Q9815090625". THIS ANNOUNCEMENT HAS BEEN REISSUED AS "Q981509E625". THE SOLICITATION, "Q981509E625", INCLUDING THE FULL SPECIFICATIONS AND ANSWERED QUESTIONS WILL BE POSTED AFTER OCTOBER 1, 2009 FOR THE REQUIREMENT GENERALLY DESCRIBED BELOW. This will be a small business set aside. NAICS Code: 335312Size Standard: 1000 employees GENERAL SPECS:1. GeneralThe generator packages supplied shall meet current EPA Tier 3 emission standards as per The United States Code of Federal regulations 40 CFR. The generator packages shall be skid mounted, with a factory installed digital (microprocessor based) control panels and provisions for connection to and control by the existing power plant automated switchgear, (Switchgear: Controlled Power, Serial # 4957/ Generator Control: Woodward EGCP 2). The existing generator packages are connected to a remote cooling system fans and do not require radiators, exhaust system mufflers, battery charging system alternators, or fuel tanks. It is the Contractor's responsibility to verify the adequacy of these existing systems for the new generator set and provide appropriate interface and connection to them. Design and installation of a charged air cooling system is in process and the generator packages must interface with this system. The Contractor must supply written details and drawings with their offering showing the compatibility to the existing and planned systems for the proposal to be considered responsive. Please ensure that all shipping charges (F.O.B. Destination) are included into the cost of the above items. FOB DESTINATION: GUSTAVUS, AK. Required supplies listed are Brand name only: Catepillar, Cummins or John Deere ONLY. To be consided for this future solicitation, vendors must have registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database at www.ccr.gov prior to an award being made. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible vendor meeting all the requirements above at the lowest price.
