- The proposed contract action is for a commercial requirement; which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit from a single source small business concern Alliant Healthcare Products under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This is a Synopsis Notice for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received in a timely manner after date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation number N00259-09-T-0588 is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 339112. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. QTY: 6 EACH Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), sole source justification is based on this requirement including a validated Sole Source Justification disclosing that the PACU/SDS Post Op Division has justified via market research that this requirement is available exclusively through the aforementioned small business source of supply in direct support of their same day surgery cardiac catherization room.
