- This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 22 Sept 09. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The intent of this procurement is to award based on Sole Source requirement. The 37th Contracting Squadron is intending to award a sole-source purchase order to AETNA Sign Group for the maintenance of Extended Marquees Maintenance for a period of Base Year plus 4-One Year Options Years. The contractor shall perform unlimited maintenance of three (3) single-faced message centers (marquees) located at Wilford Hall. The identification numbers for the marquees are AF-3400-48X96-20-R-SF, AF-3400-48X112-20-R-SF, and AF-3400-48X112-20-R-SF. The requested maintenance to be performed: Make prompt inspections of signs at the customer request; Repair defective wiring within signs as required; Clean signs as needed; Main and reset time switches as required; Repair and/or replace internal electronics as needed; All replacement parts for maintenance shall be included. Repairs shall be accomplished within 2 business days.
