- The is a Award Notice - sole source basis The USDA,ARS Bovine Functional Genomics Laboratory, Beltsville MD intends to award on a sole source basis with Illumina, Inc, San Diego, CA 92121, pursuant to 41.U.S.C.253 (c)(1) – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for the following items; (1) FC-104-3002-(30 each) Kitted Reagents for a single run of 36 cycles on one flow cell, 36 Cycle Sequencing Kit v3.0, (2) PE-112-1002 (1each) Reagents for Long Range Paired End Sample Preparation up to 10 DNA samples, for on-going research. Ordering from another source would compromise experiments and compromise the integrity of data. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals, however any response received before the close of this posting will be considered by the Government for the sole purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to the notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
