- NAICS Code: 334516 NAICS Code: 334516. On Behalf of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Prevention, Pesticides, and Toxic Substances (OPPTS), Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP), Biological and Economic Analysis Division (BEAD), Analytical Chemistry Branch (ACB), theProgram Contract Service Center (PCSC) plans to award a purchase order using the procedures set forth in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Affymetrix, Inc. of Santa Clara, California. The purpose of this procurement is to obtain Pseudomonas and Staphylococcus GeneChip arrays for the Microarray Research Laboratory's (MARL) existing Microarray GeneChip System. The GeneChips are required for MARL to continue genomic experimentation, analyzing genetic information regarding bacterial genomic response activity following exposure to disinfectant chemicals. Specifically, the Agency is requesting: Item# 1 GeneChip P aeruginosa Genome Array, Quantity: 9 5-packs; Item# 2 S. Aureus Genome Array GC, Quantity: 8; Item# 3 GeneChip Control Oligo B2, 3nM, Quantity: 4; Item# 4 Kit, Poly-A-RNA Control GeneChip, Quantity: 1; Item# 5 DNA Labeling Reagent, 7.5mM 30 R, Quantity: 4. Market research has identified Affymetrix as the only source for this procurement.
