- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Joint Armaments Center, Picatinny Arsenal,NJ has a requirement for Preventative Maintenance services for analytical equipment, in support of the Energetic Materials Analysis Branch of the Energetics Producibility and Manufacturing Technology Division. The equipment is proprietary to Thermo Electron North America LLC and any required maintenance, including replacement parts and labor is to be performed only by Thermo Electron North America LLC factory trained/certified engineers in accordance with warranty provisions. The U.S. Army intends to satisfy this requirement by soliciting, negotiating, and awarding a sole source effort with Thermo Electron North America LLC. The statutory authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, Unacceptable Delays in fulfilling the agencys requirements.
