Description

Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole-source acquisition to provide AIRBORN COMMUNICATION with software and hardware for the E-4B Message Processing System (MPS) to 102 LOOKING GLASS AVE STE 32, OFFUTT AFB, NE 68113. No other contractor is capable of providing this service due to lack of knowledge base as well as the unique proprietary ability to create said items. CRESCENT SYSTEMS, INC. is the sole provider of these items, currently installed in the E-4B. The Government now requires a subset of MPS software and hardware to support testing and training. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because CRESCENT SYSTEMS, INC. is the manufacturer of the hardware and software. The procurement of this turn up must be completed in a timely manner in order to meet mission requirements. Questions should be directed to JEREMY T.
