Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Logistics Office intends to award a sole source procurement in accordance with FAR Part 13 to Mopec, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. The procurement is for a complete customized stainless steel autopsy table, rack-roller conveyor, lift, cabinet, and body storage system for the morgue refrigerator of the VA San Diego Healthcare System. Mopec, Inc. shall be required to install and provide the custom build system to meet the exact specifications and room dimension of the morgue. The system modification will provide a great capacity for body storage in the event of mass casualty and allows for ease of use to add and remove bodies from the morgue refrigerator. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The Government may consider all interested inquires from vendors received by September 24, 2009, 4:00 PM Standard Pacific Time. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to the requirement by submitting their request in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address and point of contact. Inquires received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by e-mail or facsimile at (562) 961-1359. Fax submissions must be followed up with an email confirmation to the Contracting Officer.
