Description
Closing Date: has been extended to 17 September 2009 Questions received from interested participants and our responses follow: 1. Question: Is the information available for the procedure to access the base? RESPONSE: See SOW C.1.1 2. Are there to be amendments added to the seeding? RESPONSE: No amendments are required. This is new ground and has a tremendous amount of organics in it. 3. Will the silt fence be removed by the contractor or left in place upon completion of the contract? RESPONSE: Silt fence will be required to be removed by the contractor. 4. Is the quantity of rip-rap in the bid for the Sabre Heliport adequate for both sites? RESPONSE: Rip rap quantities should be sufficient for both jobs. 5. Can the contractor plant a winter cover crop (wheat or rye grass) to the sites and come back and plant the designated seed mixture during the time that is specified for planting seeds and grasses according to Ft Campbell guidelines. Since the seed will rot in the ground during the winter before it has a chance to germinate. RESPONSE: The Contractor may make the decision to plant a winter cover crop (wheat or rye grass); however, there should be sufficient time for planting in the fall. 6. There is 460 tons of rip rap at Sabre Heliport but there is no tonnage listed on Campbell airfield Mr. Whitfill said split the tonnage in half, but it is bid line item how shall we bid the rip rap? RESPONSE: The bid Total 460 tons of riprap to be placed on either site. 7. AT Sabre, how far apart do the windrows have to be 200' - 300'? RESPONSE: Windrows will be spaced according to the amount of debris and the location. Contractor will not have to push the debris long distances. It may only be 100 ft from each side of the windrow.
