- The United States Air Force through Global Logistics Support Center (GLSC) at Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC) is intending to procure remanufacture/overhaul of line items cited below for a FFP Requirements Contract. This is a sole source remanufacturing/overhaul effort to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). 1. Estimated issue date and estimated closing/response date: RFP issue date - 01 Oct 09 and closing date of the RFP is 02 Nov 09. 2. RFP: FA8119-09-R-0047. 3. PR: FD2030-09-07750 4. Nomenclature/Noun- (1) NSN as described below: Item 1: L/I 0001 NSN: 1680-01-441-6921 FL NR: Shroud Assmebly P/N: 400671-4 Description: Remanufacturing/overhaul of the shroud assembly which fits over the reception coupling to streamline the coupling and directs airflow. The assembly is made of fiberglass with dimensions: 12"H X 12" D and weighs 4.659 LBS. Application: KC-135 Quantity: Basic year - 6 each, Option year I - 6 each, Option year II - 6 each, Option year III - 6 each, Option year IV - 6 each. 5. NSNs: 1680-01-441-6921 FL 6. PNs: 400671-4 7. Application: KC-135 Aircraft 8. RMC Code: R3R - Repair, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to contract repair of this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. This code is used when the Government did not initially purchase the data and/or rights. 9. History: Items 0001, last procured 29 Apr 2005, Sole Source, Sargent Fletcher Inc., Basic year - 3 each, Option year I - 2 each, Option year II - 2 each, Option year III - 3 each, Option year IV - 2 each. 10. The proposed contract action is for remanufacture/overhaul for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
