MODIFICATION - SOLICITATION BID DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO SEPTEMBER21, 2009 AT 2:00 P.M. at the VA MEDICAL CENTER, 2250 Leestown Rd.Lexington, Kentucky 40511, Building #2, Room 216, Engineering ConferenceRoom. Contracting Officer has been changed to Connie Mabley. RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS: Add the following General Demolition notes tothe drawings: Bldg. 1: AS-5, AS-6/B-3 (Elev 3-1), AS-4/B-16; AS-4/B-25;AS-4/B-29; AS-4/B-3 (Elev 3-3), AS-1DEMOLITION-PREPARTION FOR NEW WORK - Remove existing finishes wherenecessary for new work attachment, smooth transition to adjacentsurfaces, to prevent old finish flaws from mirroring through new finish.This include, but is not limited to: Removal of existing floor tile;Removal of ceramic wall tile where new solid surface material is to beplaced; removal of all vinyl covering in new work areas.Drawing Sheet 39 of 49 in Building LD-025: Add the following note at thebottom of the "Elevator Lobby, Finish Schedule" - "Additional FinishNotes" - Ground Floor Office (Plan (2)) After removal of old elevatormachinery, repair walls, floors and ceiling. Remove all VCT-Install newto match existing corridor adjancent to this room. Repaint walls afterremovals and patching; prime all new plaster.Refer to Building #1, Drawing EO-1 & EY-1: Contractor shall relocate newpanelboards "1ESB1, 1ESB2 and EM2" to location on attached drawing #1.In addition, Contractor shall delete all work associated with relocatingexisting steam line. Revised Addendum Drawing is attached.We understand that a single source company cannot manufacture all of thecomponents. The intent of the indicated specification statement is thateach component should not be made from a combination of differentmanufacturers-not the entire elevator.
