- Description(s): This is a Sole Source announcement. No hard copy RFQ will be prepared or made available for distribution. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to Everest Marine, 1925 Wilson Avenue, National City, California 91950 for the repair and maintenance of Zodiac F-470 Crafts. The materials shall be Zodiac parts and repairs completed by Zodiac certified qualified personnel only. The contractor shall provide inspection, repair, parts and accessories, and repair training for the Zodiac Crafts. The contractor shall only use Zodiac parts and all parts and accessories must be system matched to the Craft. All inspections are to be verified by Engineering personnel to find it is cost effective to repair prior to authorization. The contractor will pick up and deliver all Zodiac Craft to Building 145, NAB Coronado, California. The award will be in accordance with Simplified Acquisition procedures, FAR Part 13. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within eight days after date of publication of this special notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
