- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command.The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure quantity of one Microsoft Surface developer unit, black P/N JUI-00019 (CLIN 0001), installation service P/N JUJ-00001 (CLIN 0002), expedited shipping P/N JUJ-00007 (CLIN 0003), one year extended warranty P/N JUJ-00004 (CLIN 0004), and Surface care maintenance service P/N JUJ-00003 (CLIN 0005). NSWCDD intends to include as OPTIONAL quantity items, a quantity of one Microsoft Surface developer unit, black P/N JUI-00019 (CLIN 0006), installation service P/N JUJ-00001 (CLIN 0007), expedited shipping P/N JUJ-00007 (CLIN 0008), one year extended warranty P/N JUJ-00004 (CLIN 0009), and Surface care maintenance service P/N JUJ-00003 (CLIN 00010).The synopsis is a total Small Business Set-aside under NAICS 4234330, Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers, with a size standard of 100 employees. The required items listed above are exclusively manufactured by Microsoft. The items quoted must be the exact items specified above; substitutes are not acceptable. This action shall be a firm fixed price purchase order utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Award will be made to the lowest offer technically acceptable. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AS THE ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE. FOB destination shall apply. The closing date is 12:00 PM ET on 21 September 2009.
