Description
PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS Lock and Dam 5 De-Watering Well Installation, Minnesota City, MN 55959 The Government intends to issue Solicitation Number W912ES-09-T-0109 as a Request for Quotes(RFQ) on or about 1 October 2009. The work to be completed by the Contractor consists of the re-establishment of 4 dewatering wells. The dewatering wells will be constructed at Lock and Dam 5 in Minnesota City, MN. Contractors will provide all materials, equipment, labor, and services necessary for drilling the wells, developing the wells, pump testing the wells and care of water during such work. Once installed, the wells shall be developed, and pump tested to demonstrate they are capable of dewatering the areas behind the lock monoliths. Once the wells have been accepted, they shall become the property of the government, who will be using them for the upcoming dewatering at Lock 5. Products and installation shall comply with the specifications and the Minnesota Department of Health well code. The Contractor will provide temporary piping to discharge water produced during development and pump testing from the dewatering wells to a point determined in the field. The estimated magnitude of this project in terms of price is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The NAICS code associated with this project is 237110 with a small business size standard of $33,500,000.00. This project is subject to being set-aside for Small Business concerns in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.5.
