FOB destination and inspection/acceptance at origin is required. This solicitation will be available on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp after the issue date of 10/05/09. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Technical drawings/bid sets are available after the same issue date on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, surge, and MBA. Multiple awards may be made for NSN 1005-00-050-6357. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the Government. Total duration shall not exceed five years. Based on market research the items are manufactured for military use only and are not commercial; therefore, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 in its solicitation for these items. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item with 15 days of this notice.
