- Notice of Intent: The Mission Installation Contracting Command, Directorate of Contracting at Fort Bliss, Texas intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source purchase order to Main Street Art, Inc., DUNS #00599903 located in Alpine, Utah for the transport and refurbishing of bronze Stinger Statue, currently located at Fort Bliss, Texas. The statue will be moved from its current location to Utah, where it will be refurbished by the artist, then transported and fixed in its new location at Fort Sill Oklahoma. This procurement is being awarded to the original creator of the statue. The requirement is for non-personal, commercial service in support to the 6th Air Defense Artillery Brigade and it will be awarded under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 Commercial Acquisitions. The period of performance is anticipated to be within 30 calendar days from award. Comments must be received, in writing, no later than 9:00 am MDT on 22 September 2009.
