- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Parts 12 and 13 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the solicitation on FedBizOpps (http://www.fbo.gov). This is an unrestricted procurement. Solicitation FA4620-09-Q-A085 is issued as a request for quote, utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 12 & 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36 effective 11 Aug 2009. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339920. Small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is unrestricted. Unit Small Business Specialist is Major Michael S. Watson (509-247-4879); link to USAF Small Business, http://www.selltoairforce.org; link to SBA http://sba.gov. Fairchild AFB has a requirement to replace and install new playground safety tile in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) (Attachment 1). The period of performance for this work is not to exceed 75 calendar days not including the winter exclusion period. The winter exclusion period is 15 Nov 09 to 15 Apr 10. A written request to the contracting officer may be submitted for approval to work if the contractor determines that the weather is within standards of the manufacturer's specifications during the exclusion period. A site visit is scheduled to be held on 10 September 2009 at 10:00 AM Local. The meeting will begin in the main conference room of the 92d Contracting Squadron. Please contact the contract administrator, A1C Thompson, at 509-247-4403, or the contracting officer, Ms. Staci Ramrakha, at 509-247-3859, prior to the site visit, to make base access arrangements.
