Description
This is a 100%Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business-Set-Aside(SDVOSB)-Authority 38 USC 8127 (d), PL 109-461. This is for Recovery Actproject 630-08-109 REPAIR PARKING LOT AND SIDEWALKS at Manhattan VAMedical Center, New York, NY 10010. The following is the SOW for this project:1. Work Area No. 1 - Ambulance Entrance including the Paver Walkwayareas at the Turn-around: This work will consist of removing existingbrick paver walkway and portion of concrete curb along with settledareas of bituminous adjacent to curbing. Installation of new concretecurbing and sidewalks. Pavement restoration to original grade insettled areas. Also entire ambulance entrance pavement will be milledand overlaid. Existing exterior steps nosing at two locations will beremoved and replaced per the drawings. Existing pavers at entrance rampwill be removed and replaced.2.Work Area No. 2 - Perimeter Sidewalk Repairs / Upgrades: Removaland replacement of several concrete sidewalk panels and two handicapramps along 23rd Street and Asser Levy Place. Repair of damagedcurbing, removal of trip hazards, and removal of existing brick paverdriveway entrance to be replaced with new concrete pavement.3.Work Area No. 3 - Main Driveway and Associated Repairs: Removalof trip hazard at both sides of entrance walkway, remove and replaceportion of concrete curb. Repair site wall adjacent to curbing.4.Work Area No. 4 - Interior Sidewalk Repairs / Upgrades: Existingconcrete driveway slabs will be replaced with new concrete slabs asshown on drawings. Entrance slab at Building No. 3 West elevation willbe replaced and stone pavers will be reset and grouted at the eastelevation. 5.Work Area No. 5 - Dock Area at the East Wing: Concrete repairsto the front of the dock area, along with replacement of metal nosingand truck bumpers. The work is to include, but not be limited to general construction,alterations, fire sprinkler, mechanical and electrical work, necessaryremoval of existing structures and certain other items, as per thedrawings and specifications. All work shall be in full accordance withthe drawings, specifications, and phasing plan shown on drawing D-1 andthe phasing schedule listed in specification section 01 00 00-GeneralRequirements. Specifications & Drawings will be posted on line with thesolicitation for your viewing & download. The project magnitude range is $500,000.00 - $1,000,000.00 The NorthAmerican Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is236220; size standard $33.5 Million. The time for completion is 170calendar days after Notice to Proceed. No copies of the specs & drawings will be sent from this office, ifrequested. The bidder is responsible for monitoring and downloading any amendmentsfrom FedBizOpps, https://www.fbo.gov that may be issued to thissolicitation. There may be a pre-construction conference held for thisproject, if so all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Detailsof any pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitationpackage. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits,Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38USC8127(d), this construction project is set-aside forService-Disabled-Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSBs).
