Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. The solicitation number is Q9512090060, and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is unrestricted (full and open). Small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quote. The NAICS code is 333120 with an associated small business size standard of 750 employees. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. Clauses and provisions can be found at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This solicitation will result in award of one or more firm, fixed-price contract(s).The National Park Service has a requirement to purchase attachments for Caterpillar 277C loader. Olympic National park owns a 2008 Caterprillar 277C Multi Terrain Skid Steer Loader with a hi-flow system, and will be receiving a 2009 unit later this year. This RFQ is to purchase attachments that will fit both a 2008 and 2009 CAT 277C. CLIN0001, 1 each: INDUSTRIAL GRAPPLE BUCKET. 78 inches wide with a 40 inch jaw opening, designed to be independently controlled, and to include a bolt on the cutting edge with two hydraulic cylinders to operate two heavy duty grappler assemblies independently. CLIN0002, 1 each: ANGLE BROOM. Drive system: direct drive that utilizes a single variable speed with an un-directional hydraulic motor which is keyed into a tapered hub on the brush core. Broom material: 50% polypropylene and 50% steel wire. Brush diameter: 32 inches with a rated rpm speed of 190. Straight sweeping width: 84 inches, and when angled, a width of 67 inches. Broom Angle: 31 degrees right or left of center, with an hydraulic angling system. Broom assembly: to include hydraulic lines with quick disconnects, mounting brackets, hardware, and heavy duty storage stands. CLIN0003, 1 each: AUGER. Drive system: single Planetary Reduction unit with a drive shaft maximum torque pressure of 3,040 Foot pounds. Hydraulic flow: maximum 21 gallons per minute with a maximum pressure of 3,336 psi. Output shaft: a 2 inch hex, and a bit speed of 71 rpm at maximum flow. Auger shall be capable of swinging at least 102 degrees. Auger will receive bits up to 36 inches in diameter, secured with a bolt and nuts. CLIN0004, 1 each: TRENCHER. Shall be equipped with a hydraulic side shift control, and a side shift travel of 22 inches. Hydraulic system must operate on a hi-flow system with a flow range of 25-40 gpm, and a pressure range of 3,000-4,500 psi. Must be capable of trenching 48 inches deep and 10 inches wide. Drive system shall be direct drive with a variable speed, bidirectional style motor, and equipped with a combo rock-frost/cup chain configuration for maximum trenching performance. Award will be made on the basis of "best value" to the contractor that the Government determines can best satisfy the objectives and requirements of this Request for Quotations, in a manner most advantageous to the Government, e.g. capable of supplying all four skid steer loader attachments, and meeting or exceeding the specifications for each item, at a fair and reasonable price. The government reserves the right to make award without discussions. Quoters must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to be considered eligible for award.
