- Description
- Sole Source. The United States Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center Yuma, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract with Lucent Government Solutions (LGS), 4015 Hancock Street, San Diego, CA 92110 on an other than full and open competition basis. The contract will be for the purchase of 18 each base transceiver stations on a sole source basis from LGS due to proprietary data and interoperability. The required equipment must interface and be compatible with existing Lucent equipment. Lucent is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the only source that can provide the required equipment. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5 Test Program for Commercial Items. Interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability of meeting the Government's requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these services, then you must respond by 21 September 2009, 12:00 PM MST. All inquiries shall be clearly marked with #W81R8T-9225-0009 and emailed to ypgcontracting@conus.army.mil or sent by facsimile to (928) 328-6849. Note the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 5 days instead of 45 days.
