- RECOVERY--PROJECT NUMBER RM09-1452, FACILITY ENERGY IMPROVEMENTS (PHASE 3-BOILER), NAVAL BASE PT.LOMA, PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE TO CONTRACTORS UNDER: MACC N68711-03-D-7004 HVAC GROUP 32. IDIQ MACC FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR BY DESIGN-BUILD OR (TO A LESSER EXTENT) DESIGN-BID-BUILD OF HEATING, VENTILATION, AIR-CONDITIONING (HVAC) SYSTEMS CONSTRUCTION, REPAIRS, MAINTENANCE AND ASSOCIATED WORK AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS WITHIN THE SOUTHWEST DIVISION AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ARIZONA, CALIFORNIA, NEVADA, AND NEW MEXICO. NAVFAC SW00045 MACC Group 32: N68711-05-D-4008, Sun Mechanical Company; N68711-05-D-4009, Bestek Engineering Inc.; N68711-05-D-4011, Souza Construction Inc. The work includes replacing one fire tube boiler with two water tube boilers and installing two Combined Heat and Power (CHP) micro-turbines. Constructing is pursuant to engineered plans and specifications provided by TENG Companies of CA (A/E). Contractor shall remove the existing fire tube boiler and piping designated for removal. Electrical demolition per design documents including transfer switch. Contractor shall furnish and install new automatic transfer switch, two new high efficiency water tube boilers, and two micro-turbines. Contractor shall furnish and install necessary control equipment to integrate new equipment with existing JCI Metasys DDC system. Provide all necessary piping, mechanical, electrical and other connections to provide a fully functional system at the completion of work. Additional work includes balancing new system at the completion of all work and to demonstrate operation to the NAVY. Balancer shall be either AABC or NEABB certified. All work shall comply with engineered design documents and specifications provided. All work is located the Naval Consolidated Brig, Building 7684, located at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California. The Government evaluated proposals and awarded without discussions. Selection for award was based on evaluation of the following: Factor 1-Schedule, and Factor 2-Price. Award will be made to Bestek Engineering Inc. under contract number N68711-05-D-4009-0018.
