Description

The purpose of this synopsis is to announce USSOCOM's intent to issue a sole-source contract to General Dynamics C4 Systems (GDC4S) for hardware and software to support a Trusted Virtual Environment (TVE). The sole source determination is based on the requirement for an NSA certified chip set and proprietary software that is only available from GDC4S. The estimated value is $1.275M. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received by 23 September 2009 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
