Description
The National Institute on Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a competitive basis for the purchase of equipment under Simplified Acquisition procedures. This notice may represent the only official notice.The solicitation number for this acquisition is RFQ 1513. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition circular (FAC 2005-18). This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334516 and the small-business size is 500. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Aging (NIA) acquire a complete system to monitor EEG and EMG from 4 mice at a time using telemetry. This notice is a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Item; FAR 52.212.3 offerors Representations and Certifications Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4 Contractor Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items; and FAR 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration (CCR). In order to be considered for an award, offeror must have completed the online electronic Representatives and Certifications located at (https://orca.bpn.gov/) in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a). By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the CCR at (www.ccr.gov/) prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation. Request for information must be submitted no later than 4:30 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), September 23rd, 2009 to Ms. Iris Johnson through postal mail or by e-mail (ijohnson@mail.nih.gov).
