- NAICS Code: 811219 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Research Triangle Park Procurement Operations Division [RTP-POD] intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Waters Corporation, 34 Maple St, Milford, MA 01757, for theacquisition of a 1-year Total Assurance Plan [TAP] (maintenance service agreement) for a specific Waters Acquity/Quattro Premier LC/MS/MS system. Waters Corporation has exclusive copyrights, patents, and/or trade secret ownership; and, therefore, is the only vendor that can satisfy the requirement. In order to ensure correct system operation, the circumstance permitting is FAR 6.302-1 "only one source reasonably available". The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist. Therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to demonstrate the contractor's ability to provide maintenance of the system and instead choosing merely to submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may submit written qualification statements, fully explaining their capability, no later than 10 days after the date of this publication.
