- The 52nd Contracting Squadron at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, intends to award a sole source delivery order to SCOT Inc., 2525 Curtis St., Downer Grove, IL 60515 for the following items: 0001- Combined Aircrew Systems Tester (CAST), Part Number 6159100. Item Description: Designed to test several components of the Combat Edge equipment to include masks, anti-gravity suits, and aircrew defense enemble to required pressures. Supports required pre- and post-flight inspections, recurring maintenance, aircrew fittings, and communication function check for F-16 and A-10 pilots. Quantity - 1 EA 0002 - CAST High Pressure Module - Part Number 6174100. Item Description: Eliminates the need for high pressure air/oxygen cylinders, hazardous materials identification, and significantly reduces supporting man-hours, deployment costs, and mobility footprint. Quantity - 2 EA This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This will be a firm-fixed price delivery order utilizing GSA Schedule GS-07F-0138M. If there are any other businesses that can provide the specified item, they must respond to this notice before 1200 hrs (EST) on 21 Sep 2009. Offerors responding to this notice must provide proof that their equipment will meet the requirements stated herein. Information must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer and at a minimum include equipment brochures, company literature and documented validation of their system demonstrating that it can meet the Air Forces requirements. Also include a list of at least three organizations currently using the suggested equipment. If no responses are received by the above date, a sole source procurement with SCOT Inc. will be pursued.
