This acquisition is for a firm-fixed-price follow-on acquisition for the license and maintenance of the Unisys 2200 Operating System (OS) Environment. The Unisys 2200 OS Environment is defined to include all Unisys 2200 OS software and all hardware (processing, storage, and internal communications) required to run, monitor, and manage the Unisys 2200 OS software. The software products are proprietary to Unisys since they contain customized local code, and include all executive, middleware, 3rd party, and application support software required to monitor and manage the Unisys 2200 OS software and hardware suites. The RFP shall provide the managed services solution for DISA to run all Unisys 2200 OS application workloads at designated DISA or Department of Defense (DOD) owned, managed, or supported data centers. Managed Services support can only be accomplished through continued use of the proprietary software supplied by Unisys. The period of performance will be for five years (60 months). The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All requests for a copy of the RFP must be received no later than 19 September 2009 at 11AM CST via the following address: ronald.anderson1@disa.mil and carrie.ross@disa.mil.
