- Description
- NASA/DFRC has a requirement for (Qty 4) Data Bus Couplers for the Pad Abort 1project.The specifications are:(1)(Qty 4) P/N ST91D25A-018, Rev ANASA/DFRC intends to purchase the items PAAL Technologies. The couplers being ordered aredirect replacements and due to solder requirements, PAAL is the only vendor that canprovide the new couplers. If new couplers are used, the Pad Abort-1 Crew Modulearchitecture will have to be redesigned costly project delay.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and 13.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon September 19, 2009. Quote/Proposal from PAAL Technologies is due no later than COBSeptember 24, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are NOT acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
