Description
The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, herein known as PNNL, operated by Battelle Memorial Institute, under Contract No. DE-AC05-76RLO 1830, with the U.S. Department of Energy, herewith solicits your quote for a tunable high-power femtosecond Ti:Sapphire oscillator based laser system for surface spectroscopy, including pump laser and related options, to conduct ultra sensitive surface nonlinear spectroscopy measurement. The equipment shall meet the following requirements: 1. The pump lasers should be a diode-pumped solid-state lasers. 2. The laser system needs to provide high average power ( > 3.5 Watt @ 800nm) with < 150 femtosecond pulses over the entire 700-1000 nm wavelength range, with a single optics set. The laser system should have the option to be operate ~1 to ~10ps pulse durations. 3. The high power Ti:Sapphire oscillator laser shall be used to pump OPO/SHG/THG devices to provide gap-free tunable laser output from ~300 to > 2600nm. 4. The OPO output can be used to pump a DFG device with the OPO output to achieve 2.6 to 15micron (5 mW @ 5 microns) tunability in the IR is highly desired. (This requirement is optional but highly desired.) 5. This high power system needs to have the potential to be synchronized to a ~ 50-100ps Ti:Sapphire oscillator laser. The jitter should be < 0.5ps. (The ps laser is not necessary from the same vender as the fs laser system.) 6. Ultrafast laser optical components and opto-mechanical devices, delay lines with various need. (Not necessarily from the same vender as the laser system.) 7. One high resolution spectrograph with at least 0.2cm-1 resolution in the spectral range 250nm-1000nm with ultrasensitive CCD or EMCCD; A second moderate resolution spectrograph with CCD or EMCCD will also be needed. (Not necessarily from the same vender as the laser system.) 8. The tunable high-power femtosecond Ti:Sapphire laser system shall satisfy the following primary operating performance criteria. Physical Operating Criteria Primary Performance Parameter Power >3.5 Watts at Peak of tuning curve >1 Watt from 700-980 nm Repetition Rate ~ 80MHz Pulse width < 150 fsec autocorrelation width from 700-1000 nm Beam Profile TEM00 Tuning Range 700-1000 with single optics set Stability < 3% over 2 hour period Noise < 0.1% rms Pump Laser Diode-pumped Solid-state OPO/SHG/THG 300nm to >2.5 microns tuning range DFG (Optional) 2.6-15 microns (5mW @ 10 microns) Synchronization Can be synchronized to ~50-100ps Ti:Sapphire oscillator with < 0.5 ps jitter 9. Stability test data for the fs laser system under humidity/temperature fluctuation need to be provided. 10. On-site installation and training shall be included with the purchase, to commence within fourteen (14) days of delivery. 11. Instrumentation shall have a two year onsite parts, travel and labor warranty that includes a minimum of one on-site preventative maintenance service call per year. The warranty shall commence after system acceptance.
