- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Submit only written quotations for F2Q3669233A001. SPECIFICATIONS: Fire Alarm Projects for Langley Air Force Base in accordance with the work description. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-12. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 238210 with a $14,000,000 size standard. (Work Description): 1). Two (2) Dormitories Replace existing EST-2 fire alarm panel with new NFS-640 FACP and all devices to include heat detectors, pull stations and monitor modules. Project includes demolition and removal of existing equipment. Replace 151 heat detectors throughout dorm room and common areas. All existing conduit and wiring to be reused. All work to be accomplished according to current NFPA and USAF code and regulations. 2). One (1) Hanger Program new fire alarm control panel for new devices. Project includes demolition and removal of existing equipment. Replace 37 heat/smoke detectors throughout facility not to include high bay area (this area was renovated a few years ago). Use as much of existing conduit as possible, add additional conduit for new devices or damaged areas. Replace existing wire with new class-A wiring for new SLC loop, wire and mount new addressable devices. All work to be accomplished according to current NFPA and USAF code and regulations. End Item Description: FOB point is Destination. Period of Performance is approximately 45 days after receipt of award. A Site Visit will be held on Friday, 18 September 2009 at 10:00 am, Eastern Standard Time (EST).
