- The proposed contract action is for commercial item, which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit this requirement on a sole source basis toAlliant Enterprises. LLC. under the authority of Far 13.106-1(b). This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N00259-09-T-0576 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 339113. The unit is used for wounded warriors patients with chronic pain that help to relieve the pain for up to two years compared to steroid injections or surgery. It improves the quality of life and short recovery time, low complications and morbidity rates, and lower used of analgesics which results in greater savings to the Government.
