- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Medical Center Research, Durham, North Carolina intends to award a firm fixed price contract for a rodent housing system.This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is VA-246-09-RQ-0324. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2000-07. NAICS code is 339112. Size standard is 500 employees.The rodent housing system will provide the following: Quantity of Thirteen (13) OPTIMICE or Comparable Equivalent 100-CAGE RODENT HOUSING SYSTEM, COMPLETE WITH CAGE ASSEMBLIES AND RACK MOUNTED EDSTROM AUTOMATICWATERING VALVES Quantity of six hundred fifty (65) COMPLETE OPTIMICE or Comparable Equivalent CAGE ASSEMBLY,POLYCARBONATE One (1) EXHAUST ASSEMBLIES FOR (13) OPTIMICE or Comparable Equivalent RODENT HOUSING SYSTEMS, Quotes will be due Friday, 18 September 2009, 4PM, Eastern Standard Time.
