- This is an end-of-year wish list item. Funds currently are not available, but may be prior to 1 Oct 09. The 14th Comptroller and Contracting Squadron, 555 Seventh St, Columbus AFB, MS 39710 intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price, sole source purchase order to Sirsi Corporation. The purpose of the order is to obtain the maintenance and technical support required for the base library's Integrated Library System. This purchase is for a commercial item/service and will be made using FAR 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures at FAR 13. Other than full and open competition is authorized pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b). The automated library system is the card catalog and circulation process for the base library. Sirsi manufactured the installed system. No other company has the rights to provide maintenance on Sirsi equipment without making all warranties/repair guarantees null and void. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, interested contractors may submit a narrative describing their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort via e-mail to Ryan Cope, Contract Specialist, ryan.cope@columbus.af.mil no later than 4:00 PM CDT on 17 September 2009. Capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
