- DESCRIPTION: This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into a sole source Consignment Agreement with Terumo Cardiovascular System, 6200 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103-9300, for pre-assembled perfusion tubing packs with pump head. The packs will be used during open-heart surgery utilizing the Terumo Sarns 8000 perfusion equipment. Terumo Cardiovascular System will provide the packs in required quantities to be readily accessible for the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, (STVHCS), Audie L. Murphy Division. The Agreement will be for a twelve- month base period with four one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339113 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Any interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the packs. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by September 23, 2009, at 12:00 PM CST. Information should be sent to Pat Ward, Contracting Officer, (Pat.Ward@VA.Gov ). Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Department of Veteran Affairs will proceed with the intended consignment agreement.
