- This is a Notice of Intent to award Sole Source to Smart Energy Solutions for the following item(s). This purchase is for 339, Battery Brain II Silver. The Battery Brain uses micro-technology to continually monitor the battery power and disconnect the battery power at a pre-determined level, to ensure you always have enough power to start your engine. The battery brain silver offers manual or remote control reconnection. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all quotes received within 1 day after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. U.S. Postal Service should be mailed to MCIEAST Contracting Department, Attn: Sgt Richardson, P.O Box 8368, Camp Lejeune, NC 28547-8368. Federal Express or hand carried must be delivered to Contracting Department, Attn: Sgt Swenson Bldg 1116, Camp Lejeune, NC 28547 during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM EST. Facsimile to Attn: Sgt Swenson at (910)451-2193. The facsimile transmission must clearly identify this notice and the name of the contracting officer on the first page. Quoters bear the burden of ensuring that the quote reaches the designated Contract Specialist on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed. All pages of the transmission must reach the office before the deadline specified and pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in the office after the specified deadline will not be considered. The Quoter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmissions and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received. This purchase will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 14 September, 2009.
