Description
This is a combined/solicitation Request for Quotation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is RFQ9126 and the solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-36). This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) intend to procure a Automated Fluorescence Microscope w/ Imaging and Accessories based on the following specifications: 1)Camera and Accessories: a)Motorized 6-position nosepieces for standard or darkfied objectives; b)Motorized fluorescence filter turret and light shutter in illuminators that accept either 6 fluorescence filter cubes or 8 fluorescence filter sets and excitation balancers attenuate excitationlight for intensity balance in multi-color images; c)Motorized transmitted light condenser with 8-position turret and polarizer for DIC, phase contrast, darkfield and polarized light observation and 6-position filter wheels for lamphouse side, observation side and transmitted light mounting up to three wheels can be controlledsimultaneously; d)Autofocus sensors for both reflected surfaces (laser based) and transmissive specimens (contrast based); e)Microscope frame: 1)UIS (Universal infinity-corrected) optical system; 2)Motorized focus/vertical stage movement: 14mm, 0.01um increments, maximum speed: 3mm/s, coarse/fine changeover button, stage shunting button and stage up/down button; 3)Built-in Koehler illumination for transmitted light; 12V100W halogen bulb; Light preset switch and Light intensity LED indicator; Built-in filters (LBD-IF, ND6, ND25, option); f)Revolving nosepiece: 1)Interchangeable reversed quintuple/sextuple/septuple nosepiece, motorized sextuple revolving nosepiece with slider slot for DIC and Septuple revolving nosepiece for DIC/simple POL; g)Observation tube: 1)Widefield binocular, incline 30°, widefield tilting binocular, inclined 5° - 35°, widefield trinocular, inclined 30 and widefield tilting/telescoping binocular, inclined 0° - 25°, telescoping 0-45mm; h)Super widefield: 1)Super widefield trinocular, inclined 24°; i)Stage: 1)Ceramic-coated coaxial stage with left or right hand low drive control: with rotating mechanism and torque adjustment mechanism, optional rubber grips available (Non-stick grooved coaxial, plain, rotatable stages are also available; j)Condenser: 1)Abbe (N.A. 1.1) for 4x - 100x, swing out Achromatic Aplanatic (N.A. 1.4), for 10x - 100x and Universal (N.A. 1.4/0.9), for 2x - 100x (swing-out: 2x - 4x, with oil top lens: 20x - 100x); k)Motorized fluorescence illuminator: 1)Motorized reflected fluorwscence, 6-position mirror turret unit, motorized shutter changeover speed: shutter speed: 0.1s; l)Motorized universal condenser: 1)8-position with motorized AS, turrent and top lens swing out mechanism (N.A. 1.4 -0.9), for 1.25x - 100x; m)Motorized transmitted filter wheel: 1)To be mounted on light exit, 6 positions, 032, filter thickness: up to 6mm; n)Motorized reflected filter wheel: 1)To be mounted between the lamphouse and the frame, 6 positions, 025/032, filter thickness: up to 6mm; o)Motorized observation filter wheel: 1)To be mounted between the frame and the observation tube, 6 positions, 025/032, filter thickness: up to 6mm; p)Hand switch: 1)Control of septuple revolving nosepiece, 6-position mirror turret illumination unit and 8-position condenser; q)Control Box: 1)Serial interface RS232C, built-in transmitted/reflected halogen power supply. 2)Camera features: a)1392 x 1040 pixels, b)6.45um x 6.45um, c)2/3" optical format, d)sensor readout noise 8e, e)dark current 0.05e-/pix/s cooled, f)electronic shutter, g)binning up to 8x8, h)ROI, i)cooling -45°, regulated (external trigger and monochrome camera). 3)Slidebook software: a) The software is a cross-platform digital imaging, processing and analysis software for advanced multi-dimensional immunofluorescence microscopy applications. The unique software architecture is capable of 2D, 3D, 4D and 6D image acquisition. Morphometrics, time-lapse and an advanced statistics engine are included as standard. It has been significantly enhanced with the addition of 3D and 4D Interactive Volume Rendering, asymmetrical time-lapse acquisition, basic particle-tracking capabilities, new graphing features and more. Optional modules are available for deconvolution, ratiometric-fluorimetry (FRET, pH, calcium), and TTL synchronization. 4)Fluorescence illuminator: a) reflected illuminator, turret for 6 fluorescence cubes (switchover time 0.8s), built-in motorised shutter (shutter speed 0.1s), connector for the motorised nosepiece, exchangeable and centerable AS and FS, 3 slots for ND and excitation sliders. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1) Price, 2) Warranty, and Capability to meet required specifications. The North American Industry Classification System (NIACS) Code is 334516, and the small-business size standard is 500. This is a firm fixed-price contract and the FOB term is "Destination" and Net 30. Place of delivery is NIH/NIAID, Bethesda, MD 20892.
