Description
The Department of Labor (DOL) has a requirement for the renewal of Elsevier Data License for the custom extracts of theAmerican Board of Medical Specialties Database (ABMS) which includes both the core physician board certification data as well as the unique biographical data. Elsevier does a custom extract of this database and provides only the files on physicians from select medical specialties, based upon DOL needs. This will be an unrestricted requirement. A sole-source, firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. The proposed contract action is for services which the government intends to award to one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1-Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 511199 with a size standard of 500 Employees. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 7375. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document exists. Responses to this synopsis must be in writing. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Response must include the capability statement and reference this synopsis by number and title. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet this requirement by facsimile (202)-693 -4579, September 15, 2009 at 1:00 PM EST.
