- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W912DS-09-T-0050. The US Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) to award a commercial contract for Motor Vessel SENTINEL II located at the US Army Corps of Engineers Albany Field Office, 1 Bond Street, Troy, N.Y. The general physical description of the vessel is as follows: Length, overall: 44 10, Beam: 12 6, Displacement, light: 15.7 shore tons, Max. Draft, light: 3 -3, Propulsion: (2) Cummings 300 HP Ea, Hull Form: Monohull, Material: Steel Hull, Aluminum House. The work consists of sandblasting and cleaning the existing hull below the waterline, installing new steel plating over the surface of the existing hull surface below the waterline and painting the exterior of the hull where the new plating has been installed. The contractor shall be responsible for all work attendant to or made necessary by the work of these specifications including moving or shifting of the vessel and/or vessel parts and equipment while in the contractors possession, rework and/or restoration of newly constructed or existing parts of the vessel disturbed by any activity in connection with these specifications and supplying all necessary utilities (electricity, heat, water, waste disposal), temporary protective/security measures and enclosures and any other requirements necessary for the completion of the work of these specifications. This solicitation is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures specified under FAR Part 13. This solicitation is set aside for 100% small business. All responsible small business firms may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered. The RFQ will be evaluated based on price with award being made to the lowest responsible offeror. The associated NAICS Code is 336611and the small business standard size is 1000 employees. The media selected for issuance of the synopsis/solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet. Paper copies of this solicitation and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. All vendors who want to access solicitations will be required to register with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (www.ccr.gov). Business opportunities can be located on Federal Business Opportunities (www.fedbizopps.gov) or the Army single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Web Site https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi.
