- Description
- The National Technical Information Service (NTIS) intends to procure on a sole source basis, using Simplified Acquistion Procedures, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) the services of Mr. Lowell Puckett of Gainesville, Virginia. Mr. Puckett is the only known source who has in-depth knowledge of the NTIS deployed Cispub system with the specific data structure of the NTIS inventory and pricing system that has been loaded into the NTIS order processing system. The Cispub system was originally purchased from Media Services Group. Mr. Puckett has this knowledge, having participated in the original design and deployment of the system, as well as the maintenance of the system. The work will be part time, probably less that 8 days per month for the duration of the effort. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider other responses received by the deadline. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
