- Contractor Questions Inspection and Recommendation Conducted in 2008 Amendment to the solicitation that incorporates answered questions from contractors and an inspection report completed in 2008 The contractor shall repair and make 100% operational, the Aircraft Fire Training Facility (Fire training Pit) to include mechanical, site, structural, and electrical repair at McChord AFB, WA 98438. Electrical repair includes: Relocate existing transformer cabinet, provide new concrete pad, Provide galvanized channel supports, Provide steel heat shield, Provide conduits as bollards, Provide conduit, Provide new igniter cable circuits, Provide circuits in new conduits, Remove ground burner igniters, reset igniter boxes to proper elevation, and then reinstall existing ground burner igniters. Mechanical, site and structural repair includes: Remove all brush and weeds from the water conservation pond area, provide propane system repairs, nitrogen system repairs, water system repairs Airframe mockup repairs, and test and certify system as operational. This is a firm-fixed price contract. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236210 all other specialty trade contractors. Solicitation for this requirement will be accomplished via a Request for Proposal. The solicitation number will be FA4479-09-R-0010. Award will be made based upon Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 15 and the terms in the solicitation. The expectation is to issue a solicitation for competition as a Small Business Set-Aside. Funds are currently available and provided by Purchase Request F2Y3FQ9114A001. The performance period is 60 days. The entire solicitation including attachments, will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Web Site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and drawings. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, interested parties must review the website frequently for updates and amendments to any and all documents; and verifying the number of amendments issued prior to the due date for proposals. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained by this office. Interested firms may register on the Interested Vendors List on this web site. All potential offerors must obtain a DUNS number and be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DOD). Lack of registration in the CCR database and failure to obtain a DUNS number will make an offeror ineligible for award.
