- Market Research Questionnaire THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - A solicitation is not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, has a future requirement and intends to award a firm-fixed price indefinite delivery/requirements type contract for Solid Waste Collection Services. Services are to be provided at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Morgantown located at 446 Greenbag Road, Morgantown, West Virginia 26501. The contract period for all services shall consist of a (12) month base year with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities for the base and each option year is for the contractor to pick up, haul, dump, and return one (1) Government owned thirty-eight (38) cubic yard self-contained trash compactor/dumpster for an estimated fifty-two (52) pulls per year located within the secure perimeter fence; one (1) contractor provided twenty (20) cubic yard open top construction trash dumpster for an estimated twelve (12) pulls per year; and an estimated 720 tons of solid waste per year. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. Market Research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Any response to this sources sought will not be considered a quote and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone or written requests for the market survey will be accepted. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be made available on or about August 1, 2009, and will be distributed solely through the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Service (FSS) Federal Business Opportunities system and website at http://www.fbo.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation, amendments, or information will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The web site for registration is at http://www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about October 15, 2009. The anticipated date of award is on or about November 1, 2009. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 562111 Solid Waste Collection and the applicable small business standard is $12.5 million. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote after the solicitation has been posted which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
