- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for scientific and technology consulting services inthe area of active neutron/gamma ray instrumentation technology.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Schweitzer Consulting based on theirextensive knowledge and experience in the area of active neutron/gamma rayinstrumentation and the high quality of their work.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than Wednesday, September21, 2009 at 4:00 pm EST. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely forthe purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitivebasis.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a fulland open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within thediscretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
