- DESCRIPTION: Contractor will be required to provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to prepare the parking area and perimeter drive for bituminous pavement at the Lake Sherwood Recreation Area Gatehouse, as described in the plans and specifications. Schedule of Items will include a Base Item and an Optional Item. Base Item will consist of placing pavement (approx. 300 ton); striping, plain concrete curbing, and placement of shoulder stone. Optional item will include a basketball court near the gatehouse. GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: Between $25,000 and $100,000 DIRECTIONS TO SITE: From White Sulpher Springs, WV, travel north on State Hwy 92 approximately 15 miles to Neola. Turn right on SR 14 and travel approximately 9 miles to arrive at the Lake Sherwood Recreation Area. Gatehouse project site is on the right. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Contract time will be 30 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. PRE-QUOTATION MEETING: Will be held on September 24, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at the White Sulpher Springs Ranger District Office (304-536-2144). CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry and must have completed a profile in the Online-Representations and Certifications database prior to award of a contract. Registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Vendors must also be registered in ORCA (Online Representations and Certifications) prior to contract award, and may accomplish this on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov. You must be registered in CCR and have an MPIN number before you can begin ORCA registration. SET-ASIDE: This project is subject to full and open competition in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code for this project is 237310; the small business size standard is $33.5 million. BONDING INFORMATION: No bid guarantee is required. Contractor will be required to furnish 100% Payment Protection in the form of a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit to the USDA, Forest Service within 10 calendar days of the date it receives notice of award. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation AG-3434-S-09-0019 and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as a Request for Quotations and will be available for downloading on or around September 11, 2009 at the website address: http://www.fbo.gov/. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor. The online Interested Vendors list will be the only such list maintained for this procurement.
