The only approved sources for this item in regards to the specifications, plans or drawings relating to the procurement are: Sierracin Corporation (Cage 12035) P/0N 74A350600-1003; Texstars, Inc (Cage 12849) P/N 74A350600-1003, McDonnell Douglas Corporation (Cage 76301) P/N 74A350600-1003, GKN Aerospace Transparency Systems (Cage 86175) P/N 74A350600-1003, Llamas Plastics Inc. (Cage 8P093) P/N 74A350600-1003. DSCR does not currently have an approved technical data package for this item, nor can the information be furnished by the government. This procurement is suitable for competitive acquisition, however requires engineering source approval by the design control activity. Any manufacturer, other than : Sierracin Corporation (Cage 12035) P/N 74A350600-1003; Texstars, Inc (Cage 12849) P/N 74A350600-1003, McDonnell Douglas Corporation (Cage 76301) P/N 74A350600-1003, GKN Aerospace Transparency Systems (Cage 86175) P/N 74A350600-1003 Llamas Plastics Inc. (Cage 8P093) P/N 74A350600-1003, wishing to submit a proposal on this item must submit a complete source approval request (SAR) information may be found via http://www.dscr.dla.mil/sarguide.doc. This solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract for 42 each. This item is a Critical Safety Item and Critical Application Item. This item is subject to Configuration Control, First Article Testing and Government Fit Testing. FOB is Destination; Inspection and Acceptance is Origin. Delivery for this procurement will be STOCK. Automated Best Value System (ABVS) and Past Performance Automated System (PPIRS_SR) apply. Price and ABVS score will be equally weighted. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This request is for a written quote. Please submit offers in writing. The solicitation issue date will be September 23, 2009 with a closing date of October 23, 2009. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DIBBS Website https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ on the issue date cited in the RFP.
