RECOVERY - NOTIFICATION OF NOAA RESEARCH NETWORK HIGH-END NETWORKING EQUIPMENT REQUEST FOR QUOTES VIA NASA SEWP IV CONTRACTS Description: - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This modification from the Special Notice posted September 2, 2009, reflects a change in the contract vehicle from the GSA schedule to the NASA SEWP IV contract vehicle and extends the due date by two business days to September 10, 2009. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER EXISTING NASA SEWP IV CONTRACTS. In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), Public Law 111-5, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Capital Acquisition Division, intends to acquire high-end networking equipment to include routers and switches supporting the NOAA Research Network (NRN) using sources via NASA SEWP IV contracts. This announcement constitutes the only notice. Solicitation RFQ 402583 will be issued as a request for quotation and is solicited via NASA SEWP IV contracts. The applicable NAICS code is 334119 "OTHER COMPUTER PERIPHERAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING".
