- It is anticipated that a non-competitive sole source purchase order will be issued for: 1. NSN 4320-01-477-8625, PUMP UNIT, CENTRIFUGAL, END ITEM ID: PUMP UNIT, CENTRIFUGAL, GRUNDFOS P/N 97517959 INCLUDES PUMP END CRN32-4 PUMP HEAD WITH TITANIUM SHAFT, FITTED FOR CG USE WITH GRUNDFOS MARINE DUTY MOTOR P/N 84Z04847 WITH FEET FOR MOUNTING, USED AS THE FIRE PUMP ONBOARD 87 FT WPB COAST GUARD VESSELS. PUMP UNIT IS USED IN VERTIFCAL APPLICATION. MAX DISCHARGE FLOW RATE 210.0 GALLONS PER MINUTE MAX AND 15.0 GALLONS PER MINUTE MIN., SPECIAL FEATURES: BRONZE FITTED; STAINLESS STEEL/FLANGES; ANSI 2.5” FLANGE, 300 POUND, 8 BOLT, 15 HP; 3500 RPM, 3 PHASE; VOLTS 208 230/460; 2 ½ IN TITANIUM SHAFT; 60 HERTZ; FRAME 254TC NEMA P/N 97517959 FOR PUMP & MOTOR ASSY, SPECIFY 300 LB 8 BOLT FLANGES QTY 4 EACH, FOB Destination to USCG ELC, 2401 Hawkins Point Rd, Baltimore, MD 21226. Delivery is required within 60 days or less. It is the Governments belief that only GRUNDFOS PUMPS COPR, 2555 CLOVIS AVE, CLOVIS, CA 93613 the Original Equipment Manufacturer possesses the required technical and engineering specifications, drawings, etc., to successfully manufacture these parts and ensures fit, form, and function compatibility with existing equipment. All information regarding the item is proprietary to GRUNFOS PUMPS. The Government did not procure this information, or the rights to use this information, when the original items were procured. Therefore it is the Governments intention to solicit only with GRUNDFOS AND/OR their authorized distributors. Quotations shall be evaluated in accordance with FAR 13.106-2 Evaluation of Quotations or Offers. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the above components are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within 3 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information that must be submitted includes: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered components (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. The actual REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD FROM FEDBIZOPPS (www.fbo.gov) on or about 8/31/09. Contractors shall use ORCA to electronically submit annual representations and certifications (REPS & Certs) in accordance with FAR Clause 52.212-3. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor FEDBIZSOPPS for changes or amendments to the RFQ. The award is anticipated on or about 9/8/09.
