Description
The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) at University Drive C, Pittsburgh PA 15240 is seeking a qualified small business contractor to perform comprehensive neurophysiology services to include but not be limited to set up and operation of neurophysiological monitoring equipment, performance of real-time intra-operative monitoring, analysis, and documentation of findings reported to VA Surgical staff and inputted into the patient medical record. Services must be overseen in real time by a contractor physician who possesses diplomate status from the American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring and who must be credentialed and privileged in accordance with VAPHS policy. The Neurophysiologist(s) must directly supervise the work of all technician staff. VA contemplates an IDIQ (indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity) type contract where services are ordered on an as-needed basis, quantities listed in the Schedule of Services are estimated only, and payment is made only for services actually performed. Successful contractor must store and maintain all data in a HIPAA compliant fashion, enter a Business Associate Agreement with VAPHS where law requires, meet VA security requirements defined in VA Acquisition Regulations, and all contractor employees must undergo a background investigation by OPM through the VA Security Investigation Center. Solicitation will be issued and posted to FBO on or about September 10, 2009; with proposals due on or about September 25, 2009. This is a total small business set aside procurement.
